What happens in the Introductory Meeting?
At First Choice, our goal is to find the best fit for our students.
To do this becomes a process. The initial 90-minute meeting with both parents and student is where it all begins. Transcripts are evaluated, questions are asked, and conversations are had. We get to know the student strengths and weaknesses through a variety of personality assessments. Also, during the meeting course selections are determined and recommendations for summer activities and community services are discussed.
At the end of the introductory meeting, the student leaves with a packet of information. This includes an individualized schedule for testing, a list of strengths that colleges look for, a tip sheet for parents, a college evaluation form, as well as a personalized To Do list.

Pricing Structure
Much of the time spent on the college admissions process is “behind the scenes”. I do believe however, the more time the student can spend on the college search with me, the more he or she will be inclined to own the process and learn key decision-making skills along the way. Therefore, I attempt to work one on one with the student as much as possible, yet there are many parts of this process that require me to work alone. Typical examples of this would be; phone calls to the college admissions/ financial aid office; in depth searches using the Internet; researching print material to support the college search; networking with colleagues in the profession. This is usually done in my home office.
I do not under estimate during these times that it is financially challenging for most families to pay for college, let alone work with an independent educational consultant. Therefore, I have come up with several options in my pricing structure to best suit your financial requirements.
