SAT/ACT Tutoring

 

There is no need to pay large sums of money for your student to enroll in those expensive prep classes however, prep is the "job word". It is foolish for a student to go into any test unprepared and the best way to do this is to practice.

 

At First Choice, we have prepped many students over the years for both the ACT and SAT. We begin with taking timed practice tests, reviewing the answers, taking notes on your mistakes, reteaching content and most importantly giving the student test strategies. This is followed up with homework assignments to continue practicing under a timed constraint. 

 

Taking the SAT or ACT is more about learning strategies than reviewing content.  Most students have the knowledge of the content however, it is our job to "bring it forward from long-term memory". My 20 years of teaching experience along with a Master's Degree in Education is a huge advantage in teaching students how to take a timed test.
